I created this piece about the inner child - the importance of being with her. The pouting child represents a longing for attention. The crying Raggedy Anne doll evokes an eerie nostalgia. The ringing phone suggests that someone is "calling." The bed oozes with black tar, an image of darkness hidden in childhood memories. The colors are happy, but the piece suggests that you look deeper.
